Mailbox Paris Exclusive #1 Danny Cortes

Danny Cortes is an artist from the Bushwick neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York. His work is influenced by his childhood and the 90s in New York. He creates miniature models that bring the city's urban landscape to life. Danny's interest in miniature models began in his youth. While most of his peers enjoyed the launch of a new toy, Danny was intrigued by the remarkable level of detail in the building sets used by toy companies. His attention was particularly drawn to the backgrounds displayed in the advertisements and on the toy packaging. This curiosity motivated him to start creating his own miniature toys using his imagination with household objects such as cardboard, cereal boxes and glue. He began creating small-scale reproductions of normal-sized objects.
