Après s’être fait connaître pour ses portraits aquatiques et ses réinterprétations modernes des grands classiques de l’histoire de l’art (Modern Icons), il s’attaque aujourd’hui à une problématique majeure : la pollution des océans. En reconnaissance de son travail artistique et de son engagement, Harry Fayt a été fait Chevalier du Mérite wallon, une distinction honorant les personnalités qui contribuent au rayonnement de la Wallonie. Son travail est exposé à l’international, notamment au Brésil et au Chili, où il continue de sensibiliser le public aux enjeux environnementaux à travers son art.
UNE PLONGÉE ARTISTIQUE DANS L’URGENCE ÉCOLOGIQUE
L’exposition Plastic Sushi est une réflexion visuelle percutante sur la pollution plastique envahissant nos océans. À travers cette série, Harry Fayt joue avec les codes de la photographie commerciale pour mieux dénoncer une réalité alarmante : notre consommation effrénée de plastique et son impact sur la faune marine. Mêlant esthétique léchée et message engagé, Plastic Sushi questionne notre rapport à la consommation et à la responsabilité environnementale.

UNE EXPÉRIENCE INTERACTIVE AVEC ARTIVIVE
L’exposition Plastic Sushi intègre une dimension interactive grâce à l’intelligence artificielle et à l’application Artivive. En «scannant» les œuvres avec leur smartphone, les visiteurs pourront découvrir des contenus animés et enrichis qui prolongent le message de l’artiste. Cette approche innovante permet une immersion encore plus forte dans l’univers de Harry Fayt, offrant une lecture à la fois esthétique et pédagogique des enjeux environnementaux abordés dans son travail.

Originally from Charleroi, Harry Fayt is a photographer renowned for his innovative work in underwater photography. Combining aesthetics and reflection, he explores the depths to better highlight contemporary themes. His art oscillates between dreamlike imagery and societal criticism, giving rise to striking images in which water becomes a terrain for artistic experimentation. Having made a name for himself with his aquatic portraits, he is now tackling a major issue: ocean pollution. In recognition of his artistic work and commitment, Harry Fayt was made a Chevalier du Mérite wallon, a distinction honouring personalities who contribute to the influence of Wallonia. His work is exhibited internationally, notably in Brazil and Chile, where he continues to raise public awareness of environmental issues through his art. The Plastic Sushi exhibition is a hard-hitting visual reflection on the plastic pollution invading our oceans. In this series, Harry Fayt plays with the codes of commercial photography to denounce an alarming reality: our unbridled consumption of plastic and its impact on marine life. Plastic Sushi combines a sophisticated aesthetic with a committed message, questioning our relationship with consumption and environmental responsibility. The exhibition has an interactive dimension thanks to artificial intelligence and the Artivive application.
His exhibition will be on show at the Buronzu Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in Liège, from 4 July to 16 August. The preview will take place on 3 July from 6 to 8.30pm.
