Une Ode à l’Éphémère
Avec Instantané, Olivier Hoffait s’intéresse à ces instants du quotidien que l’on saisit sans y penser. Il puise dans ces fragments de vie pour en extraire une matière picturale riche, où chaque trace, chaque geste semble traduire un souvenir qui se dissout doucement dans le temps.
L’artiste liégeois joue avec la spontanéité du geste et la matérialité des supports. Ses peintures et dessins alternent entre précision et estompe, mimant la nature insaisissable de la mémoire. En utilisant l’acrylique et la peinture à l’huile sur toile, complétées par des bâtonnets d’huile et de l’encre de Chine sur papier, il compose un dialogue fluide entre netteté et flou, entre figuration et abstraction. Ses œuvres d’art invitent le spectateur à se connecter à ses propres souvenirs et à interpréter ses dessins à travers le prisme de son expérience personnelle.
Un Artiste Pluridisciplinaire
Olivier Hoffait ne se limite pas à un seul médium. Formé au graphisme, il transpose son univers à travers divers supports, de la peinture murale aux gravures sur cristal, en passant par la conception de tapis. Son langage visuel, caractérisé par des couleurs vives et des compositions épurées, s’inspire autant du monde de la mode que des scènes du quotidien.

Through a series of vibrant artworks, the Belgian street artist invites viewers to explore the boundary between memory and captured moment, between reality and perception.
An Ode to the Ephemeral
With Instantané, Olivier Hoffait focuses on those everyday moments that we capture without thinking about them. He draws on these fragments of life to extract a rich pictorial material, where each trace, each gesture seems to translate a memory that slowly dissolves in time.
The artist from Liège plays with the spontaneity of gesture and the materiality of supports. His paintings and drawings alternate between precision and blurring, mimicking the elusive nature of memory. Using acrylic and oil paint on canvas, complemented by oil sticks and Indian ink on paper, he composes a fluid dialogue between sharpness and blur, between figuration and abstraction. His artworks invite viewers to connect with their own memories and interpret his drawings through the prism of personal experience.
A multidisciplinary artist
Olivier Hoffait doesn't limit himself to a single medium. Trained in graphic design, he transposes his universe through a variety of media, from mural painting to crystal engravings and carpet design. His visual language, characterized by vivid colors and pared-down compositions, draws as much inspiration from the world of fashion as from everyday scenes.
